Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh Ahi tuna steak, diced
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1/2 tsp sriracha sauce
- 1 egg
- 4 burger buns
- 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Lettuce leaves, for garnish
- Sliced red onion, for garnish
- Sliced avocado, for garnish
Instructions:
Cut up the Ahi tuna, add breadcrumbs, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, fish sauce, sriracha sauce, chopped cilantro, and an egg to a food processor
Pulse until nothing is left out
Make 4 burger patties out of the mixture, then put them in the fridge for 30 minutes to set
Make the quick cucumber pickle while you wait
Thinly slice the cucumber and put it in a bowl
Add the rice vinegar, sugar, salt, and red pepper flakes
Cover, put in the fridge until youre ready to serve
Set your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat to get it hot
Grill the Ahi tuna burgers for three to four minutes on each side, or until theyre done the way you like them
After putting the burger buns on the grill, let them brown a little, about one to two minutes
Put a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun before putting the burgers together
Place the grilled Ahi tuna burger patty on top, and then add a large spoonful of quick cucumber pickle
Cut up some red onion and avocado to put on top
Put the other half of the burger bun on top
