Enjoy the cozy flavors of fall with these no-icing leaf-shaped cookies The blend of spices and the adorable leaf shapes make these treats perfect for autumn gatherings.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves

Instructions:

Mix the flour and salt together in a medium-sized bowl

Put away

Put the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl and mix them together until they are light and fluffy

Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract and beat until everything is well mixed

Slowly add the dry flour mixture to the wet ones, mixing only until its fully combined

Split the dough in half and roll out each half into a disc

Cover with plastic wrap and put in the fridge for at least an hour

Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets

Spread out a piece of the chilled dough about 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface

Cutting out cookies in the shape of leaves is easy

Just put them on baking sheets that have been prepared

In a small bowl, mix cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves together

Put this mix on top of the cookies that have been cut out

With your fingertips, press the spices into the cookies in a light way

After the oven is hot, bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden

After baking, let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets

Then, move them to a wire rack to cool completely
