Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon rose water
- Pink food coloring optional
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla bean seeds, and salt
Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is steaming
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly
Stir in rose water and pink food coloring if using
Transfer the mixture to a container and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight
Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturers instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency
Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container, cover, and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm
