This recipe for grilled Ahi Tuna looks fancy, but its really not that hard to make. The marinade gives the tuna great flavors, and grilling it gives it a smoky char that makes it taste even better. Great for a special dinner at home or to impress guests.
Ingredients:
- 4 Ahi tuna steaks 6 ounces each
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions, sliced, for garnish
Instructions:
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper
Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them
Ensure each steak is coated well
Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, turning once
Preheat grill to high heat
Remove tuna steaks from marinade and discard excess marinade
Place tuna steaks on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to desired doneness
Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes
Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving
